Carol Friedman, a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor with over 35 years experience, has been teaching a variety of movement disciplines since the early 1980’s.
She is certified by the National Institute for Fitness and Sport and the Physical Mind Institute, among other professional organizations.
A former ballet dancer, Carol has taught dance and managed the professional schools of San Francisco Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet.
Her experience in dance and love of movement evolved into a career in fitness, including the teaching of Pilates.
Since 1981, she has been teaching Pilates internationally, having studied with Pilates first generation master Carola Trier in New York and Nicole Sowinska in San Francisco.
Trained classically, Carol adheres to the traditional Pilates principles, emphasizing use of breath to pace and define the movement patterns.
She, also, has developed and directed programs for several major athletic clubs, and was Executive Director of the Maryland Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness. Carol is President and CEO of CVF Associates, fitness consultants and trainers since 1991, and has been based for over 15 years in Naples, Florida.
